Change of Plans

Hey yall!
Hope your week is going smoothly! Mine is a little crazy! :o\
Just wanted to give you an update on what is going on in the Fern house.......... The latest is we are moving a lot sooner than what we thought! We will be moving in the middle of March. The 16 and 26 are the days we are looking at, but have not set one yet. More sad news is that I will not be playing my 3rd year of varsity girls soccer with the CVHAA Patriots. :( Which is very hard!!!!!!! But to show that God is in all this, the church we will be returning too (Liberty Church) has a soccer team. And my dad registered me today! God knew He was taking something I was looking forward to in my senior year, and has provided another way for me to enjoy it! What a blessing!

Oh! Yeah! Forgot this important thing! lol.... We will be staying with 1 of my mom's younger sisters, Stacy, and her family. They have a nice size house (with an in ground pool I might add). So my parents will be getting the guest bedroom, and thank you to my wonderful aunt Stacy! The 3 of us Fern kids will be getting our own room while we stay there!!!!!! What another blessing!

You might be wondering about work and school for me (or not! you can skip this part if you want... heehee) I will be working at Rink Management until March 13th. sniff sniff.... I have really enjoyed working there since the start of August! And I am sad to go! But I will be looking for another job down in FL after I graduate........ As for school, I will be coming back (along with my fam) in the middle of May for graduation!!!!!!!!! And my plans after graduation are to work for a year, and in the fall of 2010, I will attend PJC (Pensacola Jr. College).

Thank you for your prayers! But I do ask for a few more!
  1. That this will all go well! And that my parents will have wisdom in what they need to plan!
  2. Yes I am looking forward to this new start! But it is going to be very hard for me! And now that it is sooner, it makes it even harder! And to add to that, I will not be playing with Kim Shaffer in soccer and a few other friends. (<3 you Kim!)
  3. Pray that God will give the WHOLE family peace! It is making it a little harder that it is sooner!
  4. Pray for the Keene family. One of my mom's sisters is who we will be staying with. Pray for Ross, Stacy, Olivia and Gweneth....... that they can put up with the five of us and our two very BIG golden retrievers! And plus, they have two little dogs, so pray that if the dogs are together at any point....... they will do well with each other!
  5. This is a silly request, but I do want to ask! :) If you did not know, I have a Crown-tail Betta fish, and I really do not want him do die during the move! lol....... His name is Michael Phelps (got him after the olympics fyi!)

Thanks for your prayers! And I will keep you updated!
Love you all! And we will deff miss you!

Memories of VA

Hey friends,
Thanks for visiting my blog!
As you know, (or you would not be at this site) my family made the hard decision to move back to Pensacola, Florida. We are in the process or picking a date of when we will be leaving this wonderful place that I have grown up in for 12 years. Here is a lil flashback of our lives in VA.

In 1997 we moved up here from Florida, and lived with my grandmother in Hanover, till we could get a place of our own. Well, once we found a place, it was a very small apartment, with 2 bedrooms! That was really hard with a 6 year old, 4 year old, and a 2 year old!
We lived there for about a year, then moved to Ashland, where we lived in the amazing house on Ashcake Road, that will always hold the name.... "The Farm House". There we would get lost in the woods and find creeks, go to see the cows that were across the field (they were not ours!). We had our first chickens, making a total of 50 all at the same time! Had mud wars, made a tree house, would catch lightning bugs in the alfalfa fields and put them in the jar, and shot my first gun :D. My cousin, Kaitlin and I found, and hid over 500 bullet shells under my parents bathroom sink, because our dad's told us not to keep them. And the blizzard we had (in beginning of 2000), and we got a foot of snow!....... I could go on for hours about that house! any ways!
We moved from that house in 2001, and moved to Midlothian. That house was small, but we had lots of good times there and sad times! January of 2006, Cally, Kelsey's dalmatian, ran away and got hit by a car...... Then in April, we picked Charlie out!
The Easter of 2006, we moved to Powhatan, and moved into the blue house we are in now........ in June, my black lab/basset hound died of a lot of heath issues, though he was only 7 years old. :( In 2007, we did get 30 more chickens (not as many as last time!) and we had the coolest rooster ever..... King Julian...... (got his name from the lemur on the Madagascar movie). That summer after we got the chickens, we had a skunk or a fox kill 12 chickens, in 1 night. That was upsetting, because all our Silkies (but 1) were killed.
Kelsey and I played sports with CVHAA, most of you might have known that..... we played basketball for 5 years. Finishing out big (in the season of 2007-2008)! Kelsey as a starting forward and scoring over 300 points! And I as team captain and starting point guard, with 83 points! We played soccer as well. Our first year, Kelsey as goalie and me as forward...... and last year, I played forward again.... This year hoping to play 1 more season before I graduate!

Thanks for reading some of our memories in Virginia! WE ARE GOING TO MISS YOU ALL!!!!!
