Coo-Coo Saturday
So here is a little glimpse into a Fern Saturday.
As Kelsey is making us watch the Hulk, I was on Twitter, and Josh on Facebook... this was a conversation between the three of us.
Me: At least Gerard Butler didn't leave the Colts.
Josh: Gerard Butler?
Me: Sorry, Gerard Powers.
Kelsey: Yeah, Gerard Butler plays rugby!
Me: That's Russle Crowe.

Oh the joys of having siblings!

Fanhood
This may sound slightly funny, but it's true. I really have to watch myself when I come across a bandwagoner. No lie! Every team I have ever liked, was not due to them winning. And I'm the type it kinda drives me crazy...
With the Colts, the start of season 2006 (Yes the year they won the Super Bowl) I became a fan. When I started watching football, I was already a Gator fan (since I'm from FL), but when it came to NFL, I had no clue who was who. I then asked my dad, "who does Peyton Manning play for?" Since I had heard his name from time to time, with no idea who he was, I started following his team. And the color blue might have had a factor in it as well.... This began my Colts fanhood.
L.A Lakers and Miami Heat was also more on the line of not knowing anything about the league. Early 2001, my family moved from our farm to the middle of Midlo. My neighbor Anthony and I would play street ball most days of the week, and he was a big Laker fan. He was my influence to begin watching the NBA. The following year, since I'm from FL, I started following Miami Heat as well. One year later, D. Wade joined the team.
Gators, like I said, was due to being from FL, Tebow's freshmen year (which they won the BCS that year). And in the spring of 2010, I had a friend convert me to Auburn. The following season, they won the BCS. Still devoted to both teams, Auburn more so than the Gators.
The only banwagons I have ever jumped on would be Lebron James and Blake Griffin. And since being a fan of James since 2006, I was beyond thrilled when he came down to Miami in 2010. I began to follow Griffin his rookie year, and enjoy watching him play his amazing game.
Now the only team I have dropped would be the Lakers. For nine years, I didn't have one favorite NBA team... but two. Till in 2011 I decided to only have one, and it made since. This team had my favorite coach as their owner (who coached this team before retiring), my top two favorite players, and in the state from which I was born. During this time, I began to see that I didn't care so much for LA's additude. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I didn't care for it. Then on top of Bryant leaving during the lockout (to me this showed poor team-mate-ness), and Gasol wanting to leave after the lockout... I lost interest.
So here are the stories to my fanhood. Tebow fits right in the the Gators.... Won't find a bandwagoner in this chick.
Go Colts! Go Heat! Go Gators! And War Eagle!!!

Channel 222
If you live in our house, you know when you get up in the morning that the TV is going to be on channel 222, the Fox News Channel (thanks to dad). Well, today when we turned on our TV, this is what was on Fox News. This is worth checking out! As Shepard Smith said today, "the world is weird..."

Interesting Morning...
So this morning I got up once again at 6:30 to take mom to work. And I must say, if you get up this early, you must be an alien... because I don't know how you do it. Anyways... to my morning.
It all started when I was getting ready, brushing my teeth, wetting my hair (I have to wet it every morning, because it's everywhere when I get up haha) Well, my cat, Snuggs goes in with my every morning. And while I was brushing my teeth, he was waiting by the door. He was staring at the corner where the hinges are. So when I was done, I told him he was standing at the wrong side of the door. He looked at me, and then walked over to the right side! It was so funny! It was like he knew what I had said!
Well, I dropped mom off at 7, and headed to Kroger to get some gas for the car. I'm sure I was a site to be hold. Wet hair, barely awake, zip-up hoddie unzipped, Colts t-shirt, Nike snap pants, and flip flops. As I was filling up, a Jehovah's Witness lady came over and started talking to me. hahaha I'm sure I looked like I had a hangover or something. She wanted to give me a booklet to read, and I told her I was a Christian. I'm sure she did not believe me, because I'm sure they get people saying that a lot to get them to shut up. Anyways, I took the booklet (I was not in the mood to talk) and as she was turning around, she started to talk about the earthquake yesterday. She asked me what I thought about it, and all I said was I thought it was interesting. haha She went on to tell me how she wasn't dressed when it happened, but later that night, when she felt the after shock, she was "dressed and ready". haha I knew exactly what she was getting at!
That concludes my interesting morning... for now. I've got 4 more hours.
On another note. When a Jehovah's Witness comes to talk to you, what do you say? What are things you can say that won't get you into an argument? Any tips?

The Amazing Guy At the Light
So last night, as Kelsey and I were headed home from Target with the kids, a fun up-beat song came on the radio. Sitting at the light, I thought I would be a little gooffy, and started to raise the roof. Diego didn't do anything, but Kel and Lili joined in the fun. But they weren't the only ones. When the light across the intercetion turned green, the guy that was sitting in the turn lane, started to turn, but also raised the roof. How awesome??

Blue's Clues
At the moment, Lili's favorite show is Blue's Clues. And since it's on Netflix, she can watch it over... and over... and over again. This morning, when Blue put her paw print on the screen, Lili sighs deeply and says, "Not Blue's Clues again!" I think she was hoping they were going to do something other than the norm... "Blue's Clues". I love her!

Gotta Do What Ya Gotta Do...
For months now, I have tried and tried to get Snuggs to stop scratching my bed. I have bought him a condo and a scratching post. But that didn't help. Then I googled to find tips on how to get cats to stop scratching an area and start scratching the post. A few tips I found were;- play with them by the post and show them that they can scratch it. (tried that)
- place it by their food and water to show that it is theirs to mess with (tried that)
- place by the area they scratch the most showing them they can scratch this aswell (tried that)And last;
- wrap foil around the surface that is being scratched and place post next to it.
This is what I am attempting now. If this does not work... I am not sure what to do next. Because as you can see from the pictures, my sheets are getting messed up. They look like this on 3 of 4 corners. Thank goodness there is another covering under the sheet and the mattress is not damaged! I just wrapped the corners last night, so well see how this goes.... But do any cat owners have better idea's? I'd love to hear about them!
